Thompson Valley Diesel Injection was founded in 1986 by Gavin Holly Anderson. We sadly said goodbye to Holly on January 23rd, 2021 when he passed away unexpectedly.
Holly was born in Fort Nelson, BC and raised in the Dawson Creek area. He grew up on a farm, was the youngest of 4 boys, and quickly learned the meaning of hard work while living on the farm.
At the young age of 15, Holly rebuilt his first motor. It was the beginning of his love and passion for mechanics and resurrecting older vehicles to their former glory. His bright yellow 29 ESSEX which he built from the ground up, would later in life become his pride and joy.
After high school, Holly went to work for Terry Roberts at Northern Diesel Ltd. where he learned so much about all things diesel. He later moved to the Okanagan and started Thompson Valley Diesel Injection, which he operated for 32 years. He had a vast customer base from all over Canada and built himself a great reputation as a diesel technician industry leader.
Holly lived in Kamloops for many years before moving himself and his business to the North Shuswap. His life was complete when he became a father to MacKenzie and Amanda. They were his world! He joined the Celista Fire Department as a volunteer and worked his way up to be Deputy Fire Chief. He was a valued and highly respected member of the fire department.
Over his lifetime Holly made many friends and treated everyone like family, helping out whenever he could. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends around the campfire, laughing and having a good time, while always taking time to listen. He was the life of the party and he will be greatly missed.
